Hi!

My name is Tamara. My company, BATS, was motivated by my passion to help people of all ages understand one another more deeply.  I knew that there just weren't enough resources to help parents. Other than Therapists or Behavioral Psychologists, there was no one to help parents navigate through the many challenges they are facing.  So, here I am, an advocate for families... and BATS. After all, bats symbolize the ability to navigate through darkness and uncertainty, just as I help families find clarity and connection in their parenting journey.  I am genuinely overjoyed that you're HERE checking out my site. I imagine it may be out of curiosity or because there is a need for support.  Whatever the reason, I am grateful. Whatever the intention, I invite you to lean into the opportunity for growth. The most important thing I want you to know is that you can count on me.

My Story

First and foremost, I am a mom of 2 wonderful children. I am a sibling of a brother with special needs. I have a background in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child Psychology, and Physical Therapy. Currently I am a Training and Curriculum Specialist for the US Army helping educators and families navigate through the child development world. My biggest passion is working as a certified Parenting Coach through the Jai Institute for Parenting - which is the foundation from which I will gladly coach any parents. I am also a facilitator through Siblings Australia- helping siblings of children with disabilities through their unique challenges. I have worked with children and families for over 20 years and let me tell you, it's been such an incredible journey!

Bridging Ages Through Stages, also known as BATS, is not only a safe place to learn more about our part in helping young humans transition into some pretty amazing individuals. But it is a place where we can learn more about ourselves as individuals caring for the people we love. It is a place where we accept what was, what is, and what can be - to ensure that we are parenting from a place of love and connection. I am committed to supporting families through parent coaching, without judgement or shame.  My coaching also places emphasis on supporting educators, military families, and helping children who have siblings with a disability understand and support one another. These children are often referred to as Glass Children. My goal is to create an environment where all family members, from young children to grandparents, feel understood and valued.

Family inclusion is more than just positive parenting and sibling support; it encompasses a holistic approach that involves fostering open communication, creating a nurturing environment, addressing individual needs, and building a strong, cohesive family unit that actively participates in each member's personal growth and well-being.

I look forward to going on this journey with YOU!

"I felt like I was entering unchartered territory in parenting situations with my son. I was going through highs and lows and was in need of a new strategy or toolset. From our first session, Tamara listened and empathized with me without judgment. She made me feel seen and heard. I didn’t anticipate how therapeutic it would be to unpack my own experiences as a child—it helped me better understand how to break the cycle. Now, I have more emotional regulation tactics, more self-awareness, and a better grasp of what my kids are going through emotionally. I’ve given myself and my kids more grace. There’s more cooperation and less conflict because my son feels more respected and better understood."
