It's All About
Parent Education & Family Inclusion
Hi!
My name is Tamara. My company, BATS, was motivated by my passion to help people of all ages understand one another more deeply. I knew that there just weren't enough resources to help parents. Other than Therapists or Behavioral Psychologists, there was no one to help parents navigate through the many challenges they are facing. So, here I am, an advocate for families... and BATS. After all, bats symbolize the ability to navigate through darkness and uncertainty, just as I help families find clarity and connection in their parenting journey. I am genuinely overjoyed that you're HERE checking out my site. I imagine it may be out of curiosity or because there is a need for support. Whatever the reason, I am grateful. Whatever the intention, I invite you to lean into the opportunity for growth. The most important thing I want you to know is that you can count on me.
Who I Am
I’m a mom of two wonderful children and the sibling of a brother with special needs. These roles deeply shape both my personal and professional life. I bring over 20 years of experience working with children and families, with a background in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child Psychology, and Physical Therapy. I currently work as a Training and Curriculum Specialist for the U.S. Army, supporting educators and families as they navigate the world of child development. My greatest passion is working as a certified Parenting Coach through the Jai Institute for Parenting, which forms the foundation of my coaching approach.

What I Do
I support families through parent coaching that is grounded in connection, compassion, and respect, without judgment or shame. I’m also a facilitator with Siblings Australia, where I support siblings of children with disabilities as they navigate their unique experiences and challenges.

Who I Serve
My work especially supports:
-
Families raising children of all ages
-
Military families
-
Educators
-
Families with children who have disabilities
-
Siblings of children with disabilities (often called Glass Children)

My goal is to create spaces where all family members, from young children to grandparents, feel understood, supported, and valued.

What I Believe
Bridging Ages Through Stages (BATS) is a space for growth; not only for children, but for the adults who care for them. Family inclusion goes beyond parent education or sibling support. It’s a holistic approach that values open communication, emotional safety, individual needs, and strong connections. It’s about honoring what was, what is, and what can be, so we can parent from a place of love, awareness, and connection.
